Following their recent deployment to Afghanistan, 10 soldiers from Company A, 1st Battalion, 10th Special Forces Group received Bronze Star Medals with V device for valor. During the Friday ceremony, four received Bronze Stars and six others received the Army Commendation Medal with V decive. Staff Sgt. Andre Cilliers also received the award, but was unable to attend the ceremony. He is currently recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center from combat injuries he sustained last summer.
