Background
Seeking IT analysts to create an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based service management structure supporting U.S. Air Force Net Operations (AFNetops) and change management requirements as stated in TO 00-33A-1100, AF GIG Operational Change Management Process dated 5 Feb 2009. Analysts will work with database management tools to include Remedy 7.x with add-ins for change and configuration management. The candidates will perform local implementation of the change management roles as defined by TO 00-33A-1100, AF GIG Operational Change Management Process dated 5 Feb 2009
Task Description:
The configuration Manger is responsible for identifying, defining, and controlling individual elements that make up a network, system/equipment or application. The configuration manager ensures all of the configuration items in the infrastructure are authorized and under the control of a single set of processes. The configuration manager:
a. Reviews change requests.
b. Reports on current configuration status.
c. Advises on recommended changes.
d. Verifies the completeness and correctness of a configuration.
e. Maintains the definitive software library and hardware store.
f. Updates the configuration baseline in response to changes to include the definitive software library and hardware store.
g. Updates and maintains status of all identified configuration items.
Minimum Qualifications:
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) - minimum of ITIL v3 Foundation for Service Management Certification
Remedy 7.x. Minimum of 3 years experience with Remedy 7.x with add ins for configuration control
Experience: 6 years experience working in the IT Field, 3 years of which must be with configuration management.
