Background
Ministry of Defense (MoD) Program Support – deployable o/a Jan 2010
Qualifications / Desired
- Former officer E9 and 04 with Battalion or Brigade Staff experience as either CSM, XO, S3 or other primary staff responsible for training and doctrine development or maintenance support operations.
- At least 15 years direct experience in functional area as described in the detailed annex to the Performance Based Statement of Work (PBSOW).
- Recent operational experience in Afghanistan or Iraq training international forces is highly desired.
- Command experience at the O5 level (Squadron, Battalion or higher) is desired.
- Mentors participate on a team of international and Afghan advisors providing technical assistance (advice and guidance, training, organizational development and other capacity building services) to counterparts within the MoD and CSTCA staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must demonstrate creative problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team equally well.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
- Experience in professional development and training and working with Middle Eastern or Asian cultures is desired.

Education
- (Required) Bachelor’s degree in associated field with 8 to 10 years experience is required.
- Master’s degree desired.
- Experience in program or project management and office automation programs such as MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word required.
- Graduate of Combined Graduate Staff College (CGSC) or sister service equivalent desired.
Deployment requirements
- Must meet all physical, medical and other requirements for overseas deployment in accordance with current DoD regulations.
- Must possess a fitness level appropriate to performing work in a field environment and current medical exam completed within the past 12 months.
- Must have been tested and present proof of a negative HIV test result performed within six months of deployment.
-Dental and medical readiness up to date and maintain a current US Passport.
